APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular Meeting – October 1, 2009
PUBLIC HEARING:
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to on November 5th, 2009 at 6:00 PM or shortly thereafter to address the following:
Request by Habitat for Humanity to vacate the 125 x 60’ right-of-way on 15th Street between Cedar Avenue and Oak Avenue. Vacating 15th Street between the Habitat for Humanity lot 49-1-3-22-16 and the Wesley Shafer lot 42-1-3-21-9
The Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located within the Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to Robert Luke, Planning and Zoning, 261-3164.
RECOGNITION/COMMUNICATION FROM VISITORS: Citizens who desire to speak on matters not listed on the agenda will be heard at this time. Citizens who desire to speak on the agenda will be heard when the agenda item is considered.
Don Allen, Law Enforcement liaison for the Virginia Highway Safety Office, will present an award to the Police Department and the Public Safety Committee for the Law Enforcement Challenge and to two citizens for a Saved by the Belt award
School Representatives will brief City Council on the Application for Competitive Awards of Qualified School Construction Bonds
