FY 2008 MUNICIPAL BUDGET AMENDMENT
CITY OF BUENA VISTA

The City of Buena Vista intends to amend its fiscal year 2008 budget. Accordingly, the City will conduct a public hearing on June 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter in the Council Chambers, 2039 Sycamore Avenue, Buena Vista, Virginia. The hearing will be conducted to receive public input on the budget amendment.

The hearing will be open to the public. Any person desiring to be heard will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony within reasonable time limits as determined by the City Council. The proposed amendments will appropriate the following amounts in addition to those appropriations contained in the previously adopted budget for fiscal year 2008.

PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2008, shortly after 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment on the following:

Sale of the City owned land located at 20th Street and Magnolia Avenue- Tax Map# 34-1-2-28-13,14,15,16.

The hearing will be open to the public. Any person desiring to be heard will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony within reasonable time limits as determined by the City Council.

The Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located within the Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Please direct all questions regarding this matter to Tim Dudley, City Manager’s office, 261-8600.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2008,shortly after 7:00 PM to receive public comment on the following:

Sale of the City owned Old Fire House building located at Sycamore and Beech Avenue- Tax Map# 27-1-5-29-2,3,4,5.

The hearing will be open to the public. Any person desiring to be heard will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony within reasonable time limits as determined by the City Council.

The Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located within the Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Please direct all questions regarding this matter to Tim Dudley, City Manager’s office, 261-8600.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2008,shortly after 7:00 PM to receive public comment on the following:


To convert Sycamore Avenue between 22nd Street and 23rd Street to one way traffic. The flow of traffic would be from the south-south west moving north-north east.

The hearing will be open to the public. Any person desiring to be heard will be given the opportunity to present oral or written testimony within reasonable time limits as determined by the City Council.

The Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located within the Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Please direct all questions regarding this matter to Tim Dudley, City Manager’s office, 261-8600.
