APPROVAL OF MINUTES

PUBLIC HEARING:

  • The Public Hearing Advertisement follows:
    Notice is hereby given that the Buena Vista City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at 6:00 PM or shortly thereafter to receive public comment on the following:
    Amend 602.02-4 (R-1), 603.02-5 (R-2), 604.02-5 (R-3) & 605.02-6(R-4) of the land use regulations to read:
    “No PUBLIC swimming pool or structure shall be located closer than one hundred feet (100’) from any residential lot.”
    The word “PUBLIC” added to clarify between private and public swimming pools.
    The Hearings will be held in the Council Chambers located within the Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to Robert Luke, Planning and Zoning, 261-8607.
    A copy is on file in the City Planner's Office, 2039 Sycamore Avenue, and is available for review from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
     

RECOGNITION/COMMUNICATION FROM VISITORS: Citizens who desire to speak on matters not listed on the agenda will be heard at this time. Citizens who desire to speak on the Agenda will be heard when the agenda item is considered.

  1. Mr. James Gaines, with the Rockbridge Disability Services Board, has requested permission for someone from the board speak at the council meeting
