PUBLIC HEARING #1
Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Buena
Vista will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 6:00
p.m. or shortly thereafter to receive public comment on the
following:
The City is considering VDOT urban construction projects. The City
is considering using VDOT Urban Construction Funds.
The hearing will be open to the public. Any person desiring to be
heard will be given the opportunity to present oral or written
testimony within reasonable time limits as determined by the City
Council.
The Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located within the
Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Please direct all
questions regarding this matter to Tim Dudley, City Manager’s
Office, 261-8601.
PUBLIC HEARING #2
The City of Buena Vista intends to amend its fiscal year 2009
budget. Accordingly, the City will conduct a public hearing on May
7, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter in the Council Chambers,
2039 Sycamore Avenue, Buena Vista, Virginia. The hearing will be
conducted to receive public input on the budget amendment.
The hearing will be open to the public. Any person desiring to be
heard will be given the opportunity to present oral or written
testimony within reasonable time limits as determined by the City
Council. The proposed amendments will appropriate the following
amounts in addition to those appropriations contained in the
previously adopted budget for fiscal year 2009.

A copy of the budget amendment is available
for review in the City Manager’s office, Municipal Building, 2nd
Floor, 2039 Sycamore Avenue.
RECOGNITION/COMMUNICATION FROM VISITORS: Citizens who desire to
speak on matters not listed on the agenda will be heard at this
time. Citizens who desire to speak on the Agenda will be heard when
the agenda item is considered.
