Project Lifesaver

"Project Lifesaver" is a joint effort between all law-enforcement agencies in the county.  The Buena Vista Police Department and the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Department have been chosen as host agencies for the program.  However, the Buena Vista Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Lexington Police Department will train their officers to participate in the program.

What is Project Lifesaver?  The program is designed to prevent individuals with diseases of the mind, or traumatic brain injuries from becoming lost should they wander off.

How does it work?  The applicant is fitted with a bracelet that is similar to a watch.  The device sends out a signal, which can be tracked, should the person become lost.

How can I get this for a loved one?   Contact any of the agencies listed above and apply.  Help us help you!
