Check the return address to see if it is
familiar.
Check
to see if there are wires or other items protruding from it?
Does
the envelope feel like a letter or is there an object inside?
Are
there any powders or other substances coming from it?
If
you are still unsure about the item set it down in whatever room you are in and
cover it with newspaper or another light paper item.
Leave the room and wash your hands thoroughly.
Call the police.
