CITY OF BUENA VISTA
PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and the City's Land Development Regulations (Regulations) that the Buena Vista Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on September 18, 2007, starting at 7:05 PM or shortly thereafter to receive public comment on amending ARTICLE 10 SCHEDULE OF FEES in the City's Land Development Regulations.

The Hearings will be held in the Council Chambers located within the Municipal Building, 2039 Sycamore Avenue. Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to Robert Luke, Zoning Administrator/Planner, 261-3164.

All interested parties are urged to attend the public hearing at which time they will be given the opportunity to provide testimony regarding this matter.

A copy of the proposed changes are on file in the City Manager's Office,
2039 Sycamore Avenue, and is available for review from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Sensory accommodations are available upon a 5 working day notice to the City Manager's Office.

SCHEDULE OF FEES

The following fees are hereby established in order to help defray the expenses of administration, processing applications, publicizing and conducting public hearings, and performing necessary inspections.

FEES RELATED TO ZONING

The following fees shall apply for applications relating to zoning regulations:

1001.02 Zoning Permit/Site Plan Required $300.00
1001.02-1 Site Plan Amendment after Initial Approval $150.00
1001.03 Conditional Use Permit $350.00
1001.04 Variance Application $350.00
1001.05 Appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals $350.00
1001.06 Rezoning Application $350.00
1001.07 Zoning Text Amendments $350.00
1001.08 Preliminary Subdivision Plan Review $350.00
1001.09 Final Subdivision Plan Review $350.00
1001.10 Survey Plat Certification/Lot Line Vacation $ 15.00
1001.11 Home Occupation Fee $15.00
1001.12 SIGNS
1001.12-1 Non-Illuminated Sign $ 20.00 + $0.10 sq.ft

1001.13-1 Copy of Land Use Regulations $25.00 or $0.15 page

1001.13-4 Fees shall be due upon application being submitted to the Buena Vista Treasure Office
1001.15 Each application shall be a separate fee
1001.16 No portion of any fee shall be returned to any applicant, except that where an application requiring a public hearing is withdrawn prior to notification of the public hearing to the paper, that portion of any fee payment relating to notice and conduct of public hearing shall be returned.
1001.17 Checks shall be payable to the City of Buena Vista Treasurer
1001.18 Returned Check Fee shall be $25.00 each
1001.19 Any additional public hearing fees due to the incorrect information supplied by the applicant shall be borne by the applicant. The Zoning Administrator shall request a copy of the additional public hearing fee and such shall be presented to the applicant and the applicant shall pay the additional fee before any additional permits shall be issued by the City.
1001.19.2 The City of Buena Vista and all of its departments shall be exempt from the fee schedule
