In August of 2004, the Buena Vista City Council voted unanimously to create 2-distinct Technology Zones to both attract new and assist current businesses within the City in growing their Technology Related business.  The first zone is the Downtown Zone which is primarily establish for small business (10 employees) and includes most of the traditional downtown area as well as a portion of 29th Street.  The second zone is the Industrial Zone which encompasses all land within the City limits that are currently Zoned I-1 (Industrial).
